What does made-to-order mean?
As soon as you make your purchase, we begin the process of making your dress in the style, color and size you ordered. Because each dress is made especially for you, it will ship in 10 weeks.
May I order discontinued styles?
As of August 2021, our Audrey, Brooklyn, Camila, Charlotte, Natalia, Skylar, and Sophia styles are no longer available to try on. You may still purchase made-to-order bridesmaid dresses in these styles by contacting email@example.com.
What are your standard sizes?
We currently offer sizes 2-32 in our bridesmaid dress styles. Please check out our size guide to ensure your perfect fit.
HOW DO I TAKE MY MEASUREMENTS?
Make sure the measuring tape is taut but not tight, so you have room to breathe. Measure around the fullest part of your bust with your arms relaxed at your sides. Then find your natural waist, which is the narrowest part of your abdomen and usually one inch above the belly button. Keep the tape slightly loose for breathing room. Lastly, measure around the fullest part of your hips, making sure the tape is parallel to the floor.
SHOULD I ORDER MY USUAL DRESS SIZE?
The best way to find your ideal Dear Cleo fit is to measure yourself and compare these measurements to our size guide. Sizes vary between different brands in ready-to-wear dresses. We encourage you to use our above measuring tips when taking your measurements. If you’re in between sizes, we recommend sizing up.
DO I NEED A BRA WITH MY DRESS?
The bodices of our dresses are fully lined with built-in bra cups. Our strapless gowns are constructed with extra support for your comfort.
ARE THERE ADDITIONAL SIZE CONSIDERATIONS BY FABRIC QUALITIES?
Most of our chiffon styles are fitted through the bodice and flare out at the waist, so it’s important to take accurate bust and waist measurements. Our satin fabric quality is more structured, so we encourage you to order a size up from your measurement to allow more movement in this fabric. Tell me more about Dear Cleo’s recycled material.
We are proud to make our dresses out of recycled polyester, exclusive of the dress lining. Our chiffon and satin yarns comprise fibers made of recycled plastic from bottles and other post-consumer products. Our fabric mills create filaments from the plastic and spin them into yarn that is woven to make our fabrics. By using recycled polyester, we are helping to keep plastics out of landfills and oceans, as well as using less energy to manufacture our fabrics.
Will I need alterations?
Dear Cleo designers and manufacturers have decades of dressmaking experience and we pride ourselves on our superior fit. But of course, no two bodies are the same, so it is possible your dress may need a little tweak, especially if you are very petite. Our try-at-home program helps prevent the need for alterations by helping you identify the right size before you order. Please feel free to reach out to our Customer Experience Team.
How many fabric swatches can I order?
You may purchase as many swatches as you’d like for $2 each. The first swatch is on us. While not required, you are welcome to send any unused fabric swatches back to Dear Cleo for recycling.
How do I get a free swatch?
We offer a complimentary fabric swatch when you order more than one. Simply add multiple fabric swatches to your cart, and your free swatch will apply automatically at checkout. Please note if you only order one swatch you will be charged $2.
What fabrics are available?
Dear Cleo bridesmaid dresses are made from satin and chiffon fabrics comprising recycled fibers and yarns.
How should I wash my dress?
We recommend having your dress professionally dry-cleaned.
Do you offer a military discount? Student discount?
Not at this time.
Do you have maternity options?
While our collection is not designed specifically for maternity, our assortment provides options to accommodate your needs. Can I edit or cancel an order?

Can I change the size or color after purchasing?
Unfortunately, no. We begin making your dress as soon as you place your order. If you change your mind, Dear Cleo will refund up to 50% of your purchase price.
HOW DO I RETURN A MADE-TO-ORDER BRIDESMAID DRESS?
Dear Cleo may refund up to 50% of your purchase price. Dresses must be unworn with tags attached in order to qualify for a return. Dear Cleo will notify you if your return does not meet the return requirements.
CAN I EXCHANGE A BRIDESMAID DRESS?
We will happily accommodate an exchange for your bridesmaid dress within 30 days after you receive it. Please note since our dresses are made-to-order, an exchange will take an additional 10 weeks to ship a new dress. Please contact our Customer Experience Team for more information.
Will the color be the same if I order multiple styles?
Colors are consistent from style to style. However, we advise your party to order dresses at the same time to ensure color consistency. Please note, variations in the color and texture of the fabrics are characteristic of the material and are not considered defects.
WHY DO COLORS ONLINE LOOK DIFFERENT FROM DRESS TO DRESS?
Due to lighting and other variables, some of our colors may appear different from style to style when viewing them online. We match all our fabric to the proper color standard, which ensures that our dresses are the same color across all styles. We encourage you to purchase our true-to-color fabric swatches to help you select your colors.
Is there a maximum number of people I can add to my showroom?
You may have as many people as you like in your showroom—there is no maximum or minimum.
Can I have more than one showroom?
You can only create one showroom, but you can be invited to be a member of multiple showrooms hosted by others.
